This antique ensemble comes from America and dates from around 1910. It is made of high-quality linen. Linen was a popular material in the fashion world of the time as it was both light and durable and was well suited to making garments that were both fashionable and functional:

The jacket and skirt are decorated with wide borders of fine lace, giving the dress an elegant and sophisticated look. Lace was also a sign of luxury and elegance, and wide lace borders were considered particularly chic.

Both the skirt and jacket feature decorative buttons, adding a touch of sophistication to the ensemble. Particularly noteworthy is the sailor collar, which was very popular at the time and provided a fashionable accent. The collar gave garments a sporty yet elegant look and was often found in women's fashion.

Despite its age, the ensemble is in very good condition. Some of the threads from the lace are torn, the buttons on the jacket have been moved, and there is very light discoloration at the armpits and hem. The waistband of the skirt has been repaired and altered, and there are a few tiny light stains.

The blouse is particularly noteworthy. It has a very nice collar and gathered cuffs on the long sleeves, which give the garment an elegant silhouette. It fastens at the front, which was typical of the fashion of the time. In very good condition. The brooch is not included.
